Introducing K-Tail end piece

Since the launch of SYE [Start Your Engine], we wanted to design watches with a true personality that bring a different vision of a sporty-chic watch on the wrist.

MOT1ON watches now come with a new accessory: an end piece called K-Tail that will drastically change the design of your watch and allow you to adapt new straps, 18mm wide, to your watch while playing with the Fastback™ system.

More straps, endless possibilities

As a 1st benefit, K-Tails end pieces offer you the possibility of adapting 18mm wide bracelets, for even more customization possibilities.

The adaptation of these straps keeps the DNA of integration that is our signature for a truly aesthetic visual result.

And we haven't forgotten the importance of comfort, particularly for the smallest wrists, by keeping things compact with a 47mm lug-to-lug distance.

A new shape to upgrade the design

Instead of just adding lugs, we wanted to create an accessory that takes full benefit of the Fastback™ system and literally transforms the watches.

With the addition of racy and edgy end pieces, the lines of MOT1ON watches evolve to radically change their design.

And the mechanical experience is always present by putting the pleasure of ‘building’ your watch at the forefront.

Lines inspired by car aerodynamics

Since the invention of the automobile, scientists have wanted to push back the limits of aerodynamics.
At the turn of the 60s, some of the great names in design used Wunibald Kamm's precepts to create Kammback or K-Tail style bodies (read the blog for more details). The principle of the K-Tail style is to cut the bodywork line sharply at the rear of the vehicle to achieve the best aerodynamic performance.

We took inspiration from this edgy shape to design and name our end pieces and convey a part of the automotive heritage. Our inspiration focused especially on the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ, beautifully designed by Ercole Spada at Zagato, one of the pioneers of this very distinctive style.
